House of chips

I don't let my kids eat chips. I know, I'm in the minority - everyone else let's their kids, I'm a bad mom. Whatever. They can eat chips later. But when I saw this 'Haunted' chip house I was torn. It was just so cute. Except I knew I'd be eating all those chips myself.

I bought it anyway, it was too cute to pass up, and yes - I hoarded the chips and gave the kids the house. It was quickly and lovingly turned into a Batcave. I'm still workin' on the chips.

Ow.

I saw these in the Band-aid aisle, and they were just too cute. They are little hard cases filled with antiseptic swabs, band aids and a first aid card. Admittedly the pirate and the princess drew me in. Nothing special, but very cute and something good for stocking stuffers for about $3.

No jacket required

In Los Angeles an earthquake kit is essential. In schools, it's mandatory. They often contain dry foods, canned foods, a picture of your family, a favorite toy and of course, clothes.

You never know when a disaster is going to strike or what time of day so they always ask that you put a jacket in there. Well all my jackets are in use and I don't exactly want to put something int here that may not even fit in 6 months, so I often buy a jacket one size too big and throw it in.

I found this cute little jacket at Target for just $6! Probably because the colors are a little odd, but...still cute. Perfect for an earthquake kit. And if there is a disaster I'll find the Kid right away - hello - I see him, he's the one in the orange stripes!
