Since I got laid off, Easter wasn't that...great. Not that it's usually spectacular, but I certainly didn't go out and make the kids big 'ol Easter baskets like I might have in the past. The kids didn't care, but I felt bad.
I happened to be strolling down the aisles of Target when I was surprised to see that there was still a small aisle of Easter stuff for sale - all at 75% off. I figured only junk would be left -- and I was kind of right.
Though I resisted the Batman Easter basket, I did pick these up:

Yo Gabba Gabba Easter cars for the Kid at $3.49 and Schleich animals for the Baby at just $1.99. Not a bad deal.
When O.G. hid the Easter eggs for the kids...she
didn't fill them. So the kids would open them to disappointment. UGH. I just told the kids that I guess the Easter Bunny is feeling the recession too.
